this is my latest creation for a wedding

It has towels from marks and spencers (2 bath, 2 hand, 2 face), and a large bottle of champaign in the middle (running through all 3 tiers). You can't see in the photo but in the center of every flower and set of leaves is a diamonte

Look what I made!

These were £4.99 fair trade sainsburys roses that I turned into this

This is my Piglet nappy cake, it contains 27 size 3 nappies, 2 size 1 nappies, very soft piglet blanket, 1 white vest 0-3 months with a little animal on, johnsons bedtime cream, 1 long sleeve and long legged pink and white stripped outfit with a cupcake on and the word "cupcake", 1 "its a girl" bear, I cake board, 1 pair of socks with pretty frilly edges. Its done like an arm chair. Every single thing in it is use-able. Dads taken some pictures on film as we couldnt get any good ones of it unwrapped as the colours seemed too similar for my camera

I have ordered bits for some 3 teir cakes and can't wait to get started.

My Eeyore cake. Contains around 27 size 3 nappies, 4 size 1 nappies, 1 hooded Eeyore towel, 1 Johnsons baby lotion, 1 johnsons baby bath, 2 weaning spoons, 1 pair of white and pink socks, 1 vest size 0-3months, 1 Eeyore toy. I can't decide whether to put a thick band of cream ribbon around it with small pink organza ribbon around or leave it as it is. I will then wrap it in celo with a big pink bow at the top.

Mums birthday cake (Im better at nappy cakes than sponge!), Dad had to help me as I wasn't well enough to do it all by myself

Hello, this Christmas I'm planning on making some sick children smile simply by sending some post.

Post Pals brightens the lives of seriously ill children (most of whom are fighting cancer or going through transplants) and their siblings by featuring them on the website www.postpals.co.uk with their own page, with their story, interests and a forwarding address. Members of the public from around the world can log on and send cards, letters, emails and small gifts to brighten the child's day and let them know someone cares. Post Pals does this all year around but at Christmas they run some special schemes.

Reindeers (volunteers) are assigned to a young child and during December they send a card from each of Santa's reindeer, talking about anything from loving it when carrots are left out or how full the sleigh is getting. Its great fun to use your imagination and the children really enjoy it, one boy was so relieved as it meant santa definitely knew he was in hospital at Christmas and another girl thought the reindeer wrote to her as she was good in helping her mum look after her disabled brother.

The elf scheme is another project, a little like the Shoe Box appeal we all know. You're assigned a child and you have a read their page to get to know them. Then you gather up gifts to the value of £15 and send them off to the child in December. Post Pals needs to find 240 volunteers for this so please spread the world about how to make a difference this Christmas. A picture of little Aled with his elf box can be seen here http://postpals.co.uk/gallery/main.p...serialNumber=2 and a picture of Nikita with the bear she was sent can be seen here http://postpals.co.uk/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=309 (sadly she passed away on Christmas Eve, a couple of weeks after this picture was taken).

You can also send christmas cards or little gifts to any child, just log onto www.postpals.co.uk click on "News" to find out how to volunteer and see how a simple gesture can make a big difference.

Hello, sorry this is "off topic" but I wanted to share. I know I'm not the only person who over time has changed medications, been prescribed too much and have boxes of unused meds etc.

I've found a charity who accept medication (must have more than 6 months until the expiry date) and they check them there end before distributing in Africa.

I checked them out and they are a registed charity, they told me that I could donate by posting them off to the address on their contact page. Or if I had equipment too they might be able to find someone who could pick up on route.

The link is http://www.cartyorkshire.co.uk/

I also found http://www.thejacobswell.org/ which does a similiar thing.

These are mine

Post to my friend. My best friend Kat (24) is very ill (with a brain tumour and various other things, its not cancer but causes all sorts of problems), the past 3 christmas' have been tough for her, last christmas she had to go to the hospital on christmas eve and christmas day, the year before that she was in hospital (during a 6 month admission), and the year before that she was also in hospital (during a 9 month admission). So things are tough for her. Being so isolated she loves hearing from anyone. You can read more about her on www.caringbridge.org/europe/kitten username harry password potter She loves cats, rainbows, anything to do with New York and America (although she's not been), cards to decorate her wall (she is bedbound so looks at the same wall all the time), Tigger and most of all just hearing from people. Please leave her a guestbook message on the site above too!

Samples:My friend above loves it when she is occasionly sent little saches (excuse my spelling) for example someone in america had a free sample of this powder you add to water to make a drink. as we dont have the same stuff here in the UK its so much more exciting. My friend above would love to receive some

Guestbook message- Please leave a short guestbook message for Jane, her daughter Casie passed away from leukemia, and she loves it when people take the time to see Casie's page, it means Casie's life has not been forgotten. you dont have to say much, just a hello or thinking of you is fine :) Link is http://caringbridge.org/fl/casie/

Emails sent to a seriously ill child: please go to www.postpals.co.uk click "find a pal", pick a childs page and email them (via the send a smile button), talk about yourself, your pets, looking forward to xmas etc, just like you would to any child reguardless of if they have cancer or not.

Paper Cranes- I LOVE papercrains. I developed a real thing for them when my health got worse. Apparently if you have 1000 paper cranes you get a wish. I hope one day to have 1000 but right now I have the grand total of 10! So only 9990 to go! The problem is try as I do I can not seem to make them! They are meant to be simple (http://monkey.org/~aidan/origami/crane/) but I just can't do it. I would love to have a box with cranes that had been given to me and a note attached about the person who folded it for me.

You know when you have ME, in particular in the lower ability levels every little thing counts, a conversation with one person is harder with a tv on, crawling to pick something up is harder than having something passed to you, going somewhere local is easier than going somewhere futher. Well being hte good pacer that I am, I had a great day.

It all started with my Nan being admitted to hospital, I wanted us (Mum, Dad, Grumpy and I) to go out to dinner as we dont know when we will next be able to because of Nan. So if Im going to over do it I think, I might as well book a resutrant near the hospital so I can see Nan too... fair enough. Then the thought occoured to me that there are shops very close to the hospital and there are sales on. So I decided to go shopping for a little bit, visit nan breifly then have dinner!!!

Shopping was ok, I wasn't even slightly tempted by any clothes in the shop - fassion has gone insane, I'm all for colour but not that vivid! I went into Claire's as they had a 5 for £5 sale so I thought I would stock up on things for being an Elf at christmas, I picked things off the shelf with the great big sign on about 5 for 5. I get some nice bits like disney princess hairbands, get to the check out only to be told the things with a 50% off sticker are in the 5 for 5 sale. Well silly me for thinking it was the things on the shelf with the great big sign! By this point I was wanting to yell at the next girl who bumps into me, push the next shelf which is blocking my chair out of the way and ask them why the hell they feel the need to play music so loud! Needless to say I didnt get anything there, but i did get some pretty underwear in La senza and gifts in the Clintons sale.

Onto the hospital for 20mins, watch from nans window the airambulance, we were thinking the person had died on route by the fact staff stood there talking for a good 10mins before getting the patient out. Brought back memories of grumpys accident and I think made us all greatful to be in that small hospital room as a family doing something as normal as looking at shopping.

Onto the resturant, I had asked in advance for a quiet tab le and while I was waiting I layed down on a long seat which was pure bliss. Had a quick dinner and went home.

Since then I have done nothing but cancel physio, go online a few times for 10mins max etc I've been feeling better yesterday and today but still not great. I've not even opened my new harry potter book (im rather sadly a HUGE fan) Was the worst week I've had ME wise for a long time now. One day I'll master pacing (like not writing mamouth journal entries when i have a pile of things to do).

Anyway Nans PEG went in, all is good hoping for discharge early next week. My parents spent 8 hours in a traffic jam yesterday, the journey should of taken 1 and half hours!

Hi Everyone,
Just thought I'd write and let everyone know about a yahoo group that some of us from this group set up.

Many of us LOVE crafting things for the post pal kids, whether it's making cards, or small gifts or whatever else you can think of! What we do is chat together about what we have made, show each other photographs of it, and generally try and encourage each other to write to pals.

It's a lovely way of combining craft making and cheering kids up!

Now, you don't have to be GOOD at card making or anything to join us, you just have to want to do it, and then send the stuff you make to a Post Pal child. I know I just enjoy being creative, and believe the kids enjoy receiving my cards, even if they are not perfect!

Anyway, if you are interested, please check us out at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mag2kids/ We are not affiliated to Post Pals, or run by them, but are a group that enjoys making things for Post Pal kids. Hope to see some of you there!

During the month of May Post Pals- an organisation brightening the lives of seriously ill children, is running a campaign to raise awareness of the neurological condition ME (which team have), raise some funds to make a difference and post lots of SMILES on people's faces.

We are baking cookies and sending them through the post with a choice of awareness ribbon or star shapes both with "ME" written in red icing on, we have an option of 2 flavours ginger or plain. They will be wrapped in backing parchment to keep them fresh, bubble wrap to protect and brown paper, included in the package will be an A4 information sheet, a great and subtle way of teaching people about ME, it even has a bear on the corner proudly wearing his blue ribbon and will say they are from you and a space for a message. Perfect to send to friends, family, yourself as a treat, a friend with ME, children on Post Pals etc.

To send 5 cookies for £3, or 10 for £4.50 including P&P please send a donation via Paypal at info@postpals.co.uk or cheque made payable to Post Pals marked Cookie Project send to PO Box 278, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT23 4WN, with the following
